Hall, Hayward)
|
|
*8:30 am – 11:30 am Decorate the Gym -
“PARTY LIGHTS” - Remember High School
days of decorating the cafeteria or gym for a dance? Go back and re-live
those precious moments by helping set up and decorate the gym and other
areas.
*10:00 am - 11:30 am CVHS alumni Band and Orchestra
Practice “I HEAR A SYMPHONY” -
Bring your instrument and join the famous conductor, Gene Graves, who is
coming to our Reunion to lead the band and orchestra in a practice/jam
session and performance at our Big Event.
*11:30 am – 2:30 pm Classic Car Show
“KING OF THE ROAD” - Bring your Classic
car to show and talk about, or just come drool on classmates’ classic
cars! The Show will be in the lot adjacent to Centennial Hall. Classic Car
Awards will be presented. Security will be there to protect vehicles and
awards.
*12 noon – 2:00 pm Picnic Lunch
“SUMMERTIME” - Enjoy good food and
fellowship with classmates at the Classic Car Show. Chef Bob Tucknott is
planning a good menu and vegetarians (did we have those 40 years ago?)
will be accommodated.
*****Dressing Rooms - Women:
“LITTLE BITTY PRETTY ONE” Men:
“DUKE OF EARL” - If you want to crawl under the Hot Rods, play
mechanic and dress up for the afternoon and evening events, you don’t need
to bring your RV, because men’s and women’s dressing rooms and showers are
available for you at Centennial Hall.
*2:30 pm – 5:00 pm Lounge n’ Talk Room
“COME A LITTLE BIT CLOSER” - Enjoy a
break in our large lounge room. Have a beverage and
“YAKETY YAK” to catch-up on who is doing what.
*2:30 pm – 5:00 pm Singles Mixer -
“I’M ALL SHOOK UP” - For the first time
ever, we’re having a Singles Mixer. It’s being held prior to the Reunion
Cocktail party. They say they’ll do introductions, games and Karaoke but
we heard a lot more goes on.... Other classmates have discovered
“THIS MAGIC MOMENT”... and
Walter Cronkite reports that after our last ‘59-’60
Reunion, wedding bells rang for 8 classmates who re-met, connected and
found their CVHS soul mates. Hmm…not bad considering there were 300 people
in the room!
*5:00 pm – 11:30 pm Reunion Cocktails, Dinner and
Dance “SHAKE, RATTLE AND ROLL” - This is
the Granddaddy of Events! The evening includes a warm-up Cocktail Party
and Mixer (5:00-6:00 pm) followed by Dinner, Entertainment and a Rock n’
Roll Sock Hop Dance with a
“WHOLE LOTA SHAKIN’ GOING ON”.
You’ll have plenty of time to meet classmates and talk
about the past, present and future. Ladies, wear your peddle pushers,
poodle skirts or formal wear. Gentlemen dress casually or formally ...
bring your “BLUE SUEDE SHOES”. The
choice is yours! In any event, bring your dancing shoes, so you can dance
to and enjoy the great sounds of the 50's and 60's music. A professional
photographer will take pictures for the reunion book and you! We’ll also
present our Class gifts “FEELS SO GOOD” for the New Athletic Facilities
and the New Performing Arts Center, to the Superintendent of Castro Valley
School District, CVHS Principal and other dignitaries.
